The Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane celebrates its sesquicentenary in 2009. To mark the occasion a wide variety of activities are taking place throughout the year. We will join for some of our celebrations with the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane and the State of Queensland, both of whom also celebrate 150 years in 2009.
In 2009 the Archdiocese of Brisbane will mark 150 years of service in South East Queensland. The celebrations started at the Cathedral of St Stephen on the first Sunday of Advent, 30 November 2008.
