The crucifix and the Risen Christ are central to our Catholic Christian beliefs. This human figure symbolises all people who have contributed to the Brisbane church in Queensland from the time of settlement until the present and into the future.

Mary the Mother of Jesus is important for the Church in so many ways. She above all knew Jesus from the beginning of his life. Mary was essential for the birth of the Church. Her simple service to Christ as a child, and her fidelity to him as an adult, is our model of service as well.
